Rachelle Steele is an internationally acclaimed Master Photographer and Professor based out of Sacramento, CA. She is most known for her passionate storytelling, her adventurous expeditions, and her dynamic black and white images. Her unique background brings depth and courage to her images.
After 9 years as a sailor in the United States Navy, Rachelle circled back to her original love, photography. Always at the forefront of her mind is honoring those that she’s lucky enough to meet along the way. She has undertaken multiple incredible self led photography expeditions. The result is an undeniable sensitivity and intimacy that is palpable in her work.On the eternal quest for the human spirit, she is most alive behind the lens. It is her deep connection to her own veteran community that drives Rachelle to live the fullest life and cherish every moment of precious time on this earth. Earning both her BFA and MA from the Academy of Art University provided a solid foundation from which to launch her greatest adventures yet. Her works have been awarded and exhibited near and far including venues in Italy, Nepal, Morocco, Mongolia, Basque Country, NYC Times Square, and The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum. Having been awarded the prestigious title of “International Portrait Photographer of the Year, Top 101” for 2021, 22, and 23 has allowed Rachelle to dive even deeper into her dreams and goals as she quests for adventure and conversations with the unknown viewer.
